Galway Bay fm newsroom - City councillors have been urged to revisit recently approved busking regulations after Lonely Planet rated Galway as one of the best visitor locations in the world.
The world-renowned travel guide listed Galway as the fourth best city in the world for tourists to visit.
It's fourth on a list of 10 cities around the world that have been selected for the range of activities, experiences and cultures on offer.
The controversial bye-laws were passed by the city council last month and will come into effect in January.
This will mean busking will be restricted during peak business hours and those in breach could face fines.
