Galway City Council is to examine the possibility of investing in an electric bike sharing scheme.
There is currently a regular bike-share scheme in place, with over 20 stations dotted around the city.
But Councillor John Connolly isn't convinced they are used all that much - and thinks electric bikes would be far more attractive.
He proposed at a meeting this week that the local authority seriously consider replacing the current bikes.
