Galway Bay fm newsroom - The city council is being accused of inconsistency when applying parking control byelaws in the city.
That's according to Councillor Colette Connolly who says residents at the Claddagh are facing issues obtaining parking permits despite their entitlements.
A recent public meeting organised by Claddagh Residents' Association heard that many residents in the area were refused their applications for 4 permits per household.
The Independent councillor says this contradicts both the city's byelaws and a report from the council executive at the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee.
