Galway Bay fm newsroom - This year's Christmas 'park and ride' service in the city will get underway this weekend at Galway Racecourse.

The service will operate seven days a week from Saturday, the 11th, until Christmas Eve.
From 9.30am to 9.15pm Monday to Saturday, it'll run every 15 minutes in both directions between the Ballybrit racecourse and Galway Coach Station.

On Sundays, the service will run every 15 minutes between 11am and 7pm, with half hour services between 7pm and 9.15pm.
The fare will be €1 each way, while children and pensioners will travel for free.
