Galway Bay fm newsroom - The design phase for the controversial new city bypass has been extended to allow the project team to consider the high level of public feedback received.
The final design for the proposed route will be published in April.
In a statement to Galway Bay fm news, the N6 project office says the statutory process for the delivery of the bypass will begin once the planning application is submitted to An Bord Pleanala.
It is at this stage that legal notification will be posted to all property owners set to be affected by the construction of the road.
The legal notification will include a letter and a map, which shows the land to be acquired.
The planning application documents, once submitted, will be available on the project website, County Hall and City Hall.
