Galway West TD Catherine Connolly says 'if there was a chance to unite the opposition' she would keep an open mind to running for President of Ireland.
A recent Sunday Independent opinion poll placed the Independent Deputy as the second-most popular in a list of left-leaning candidates, with 14 percent support.
Deputy Connolly has been speaking on Sean O'Rourke's Insights podcast, saying she feels privileged that people consider her, but she has not been part of any conversations yet.
