Carrabane National School given go ahead to tender new building

Carrabane National School has been given the go-ahead to tender for the construction of a new building.

The Department of Education has given the green light to the plans for a two-storey ten-classroom school next to Kilconieron Hurling Club.

Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon says the multimillion euro development will provide for an expected large increase in enrolment in the school over the next decade.
