Galway Bay fm newsroom - Car parking charges are to be introduced at Leisureland next week.
The move was announced in August due to the difficulty experienced by visitors and members trying to find on-site parking.
From Wednesday, Leisureland will start utilising newly-installed car barrier systems.
The cost of parking will be €2 per hour, or €12 for the day - with no overnight parking or camping permitted.
Gym and pool members will continue to have access to free parking.
The management company says the new charges will ensure better availability and a better service to members and other users of the facilities.
New bike parking stations have also been installed, while 22 parking spaces in the front section have been reserved as a set-down area.
