Cappagh, Westside and Renmore get electronic basketball scoreboards

New electronic basketball scoreboards have been installed in three community centres across Galway City.

Cappagh, Westside and Renmore will now have permanent scoreboards and will be used for all adult and juvenile basketball games.

It’s understood that the scoreboard in Cappagh will be of a high enough standard for matches played in national leagues.

Galway City West Councillor John Connolly says the previous method of scoreboards was cumbersome:
