Galway Bay fm newsroom - A candlelight vigil for Monivea camogie star Kate Moran will be held at Kenny Park in Athenry this evening.

Kate, who was 20 years old, died at UHG yesterday after being injured during a match between Athenry and Ardrahan on Monday.
She won two all-Ireland under 16 titles with the county in 2016 and 2017, enjoyed Connacht camogie success with Presentation College Athenry, and was at the forefront of Athenry's senior team.

The candlelight vigil will take place at Kenny Park at 9pm.
Chair of Athenry Camogie Club, Mary Rohan, says says there are no words that can capture the devastation felt in the community.
