Galway Bay fm newsroom - A vigil will be held at University Hospital Galway this week over long waiting lists and a lack of beds in public hospitals.
It's being organised by the 'Still Waiting Galway' campaign, which is advocating a state-run home help service and larger capacity of transition beds in community hospitals.
The vigil will take place at UHG at 5p.m on Friday (14/4).
According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there were 14 people on trolleys and waiting on wards at UHG today (11/04).
