Calls for new bye laws to protect Galway lakes

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway West TD is calling for the implementation of a new set of bye laws to protect Galway's lakes.

Fianna Fail's Éamon Ó Cuív says the lakes are vital to Ireland's inland fishing due to their high trout and salmon stocks.

He says while stock management plans are in place, more needs to be done to protect Galway's salmonoid Lakes.
