Calls for more urgency in filling vacant traffic warden positions across the city

Galway Bay fm newsroom – There is a call for more urgency in filling vacant traffic warden positions across Galway city.

Concerns are being raised over the safety of road crossings for school children in the Knocknacarra area in particular.

The city council have confirmed recruitment is ongoing to fill vacant positions, with some already hired and undergoing training.

While Councillor Niall McNelis welcomes this, he says areas should not be left without wardens in the interim.
