Galway Bay fm newsroom – There is a call for more Garda recruits in Galway following recent incidents in the city.

It follows a serious assault on Dominick Street last Thursday morning, and another in Salthill on Sunday night

Councillor Alan Cheevers welcomes the additional Garda recruits announced for Dublin, but says Galway also needs attention.

Councillor Cheevers says while Galway is considered a safe city, those recent incidents highlight the need for a greater Garda presence:
