In its pre-budget submission, Acquired Brain Injury Ireland has raised serious concerns about the lack of such services in 14 counties, including Galway.
Thirteen thousand people acquire brain injuries in Ireland every year.
According to ABII, families in many areas have no access to a case manager to offer support and link individuals to appropriate services.
