Galway Bay fm newsroom - There are calls for Gardai and the local authority to tackle the numbers of people who are regularly drinking in public areas in Galway.
It comes as serious concerns have been raised after large crowds gathered at the Spanish Arch, Claddagh Basin, Claddagh beach and the waterside in Woodquay over the weekend.
Labour city councillor Neil McNelis has written to the Garda Chief Superintendent Tom Curley and the City Chief Executive to address the issue.
