Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway TD Eamon O'Cuiv is calling for real time opening hours of rural Garda stations to be published on the Garda website.
The Fianna Fail deputy argues very few small stations are open during their nominal hours of 10am to 1pm.
He says this delays simple tasks such as getting a passport stamped.
In a response received from An Garda Síochána, the Galway West TD is advised any calls that are received to unmanned stations are redirected to local district headquarters.

It adds emergency services are always accessible by calling the 999 or 112 facility.
Deputy O'Cuiv says the system needs to be reviewed.
