Galway Bay fm newsroom - The City Council is being urged to carry out maintenance on a busy roundabout on the outskirts of the city.
Councillor Alan Cheevers says the Martin Roundabout - near Galway Clinic - is so overgrown it is a health and safety concern.
He says the situation is so bad that some motorists are unable to see signage and are often using incorrect exits.
In 2015, a man's body was discovered in a crashed car in the middle of the roundabout - the vehicle was hidden by overgrowth and had been there for several days.
The City Council is currently developing plans to upgrade the roundabout to include new cycling facilities, improved pedestrian access and traffic calming measures.
But Fianna Fail Councillor Cheevers says maintenance is needed now before accidents happen.
