Call for major clean up of alleys in Castlepark area

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway City Council is being urged to carry out a major clean up of alleys in the Castlepark area.

Councillor Alan Cheevers says a number of alleyways have become havens for illegal dumping in recent times.

He points out that local residents have experienced issues with rats and other pests coming into their gardens because of the situation.

Councillor Cheevers states some residents are trying their best to keep them clean but are being overwhelmed by the level of illegal dumping.
