Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway city councillor is urging the council to create a litter management plan for Westside Sports Centre.

Cllr Mike Cubbard is calling for action to be taken following reports of bins not being emptied at the public amenity over the last number of days.
The Independent councillor claims funding secured in 2018 to keep the centre staffed would be carried over to 2019, but no staff have been allocated as of yet.

The 1.9 million euro campus includes a soccer and football pitch, as well as a running track, tennis and basketball courts and a children's playground.
