Call for HSE to answer local healthcare issues in ‘plain English’

Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway West TD Catherine Connolly says reading answers from the HSE on important local health issues is like trying to decipher a foreign language.

Deputy Connolly has told the Dáil how during her time on the Health Forum West, she witnessed the systematic “running down” of the public healthcare system.

She also pointed to the ongoing ten-year saga of a new Emergency Department at UHG, which is still many years away from being realised.

And Deputy Connolly said trying to get answers in plain English can be difficult.
