Galway Bay fm newsroom -A Tuam area councillor says the local authority needs to look the future and begin installing more electric car chargers in towns across the county.
Councillor Karey McHugh raised the issue at municipal district level.
She says Tuam has just one electric car charging port - and more are needed as the shift towards electric vehicles gathers pace.
Cllr McHugh says charging points in county towns encourage drivers to shop and spend local.
