Burst watermain near Oranmore causes major disruption

There is disruption to the water supply near Oranmore today due to a burst watermain.

Irish Water and the county council say residents and businesses in the Derrydonnell area are affected by the leak at Old Dublin Road.

Water schemes affected by the burst main are Derrydonnell, Mountain West, Palmerstown, Lisheenkyle and Caherfinisker.

Crews are on site and Irish Water says it hopes to have a water supply fully restored in the area later this evening.
