Brothers of Charity gets approval for new special school in city

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Brothers of Charity Services has been given approval for a new special school in Renmore.

The city council has granted planning permission for the new single storey school at Woodlands Centre.

The new special school in Renmore will include revised access and works to the existing Woodlands campus entrance.

Planning permission has been granted with 14 conditions attached.

Among the conditions is a requirement for pre-development testing by an archaeologist.

Also before the school becomes occupied, the access road and car park must be constructed to an acceptable standard with a suitable surface.
