Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway-based theatre company Druid experienced an increase of almost 40% in box office takings last year.
According to the Irish Times the revenue jump is largely due to sell-out runs of John B Keane's 'Sive,' and Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot.'
The 38% increase throughout 2018 amounted to a final box office income figure of €1.3million.
Meanwhile overall revenue increased by 21% from €2.2 to €2.8 million.
