Galway Bay fm newsroom - A boil water notice for the Gort Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.
The notice was issued in early December, due to issues at the Gort Water Treatment Plant.
It followed a six month notice that had previously been imposed on the town last year, affecting almost 2,800 people.
Following consultation with the HSE, the boil water noticed issued in December has now been fully lifted.
