Galway Bay fm newsroom - A bog walk will take place in Abbeyknockmoy this weekend in a bid to highlight the level of illegal dumping in the area. (Sunday 26/2)
The walk is being organised by group of local residents who are eager to solve the problem.
A walk through the bog will get underway from the O'Donoghue site, and the walking route will be signposted.
It gets underway at 12.30 tomorrow afternoon.

The event will be followed by a public meeting on illegal dumping at the Abbeyknockmoy Community Centre on March 6th.
PRO of the Abbeyknockmoy Illegal Dumping Committee, Orla Burke says residents are hurt and frustrated at the continued dumping.
