Body recovered from water at Salmon Weir Bridge

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A body has been recovered from the water at the Salmon Weir Bridge in the city.

Gardai say the body was discovered early this afternoon and was recovered with the assistance of the fire service.

Investigations are ongoing and no further details are available at this time.

It comes as searches have been conducted in the city in recent weeks for several missing people.
