Bishop-Elect of Clonfert Michael Duignan to reach out to young people during his new ministry

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The new Bishop of Clonfert says he will reach out to young people during his new ministry.

Bishop-elect Michael Duignan was announced as the new Bishop of Clonfert this morning at St Brendan's Cathedral in Loughrea.

He's succeeding Bishop John Kirby who is retiring at the age of 80.

Bishop-elect Duignan has been serving as Chancellor and Diocesan Secretary and Financial Administrator at the Diocese of Elphin.
