Galway Bay fm newsroom - A bathing ban at Ballyloughane beach has been lifted.
A prohibition notice was placed at the amenity last Wednesday after high levels of bacteria were detected in samples.
Further tests have confirmed the quality of the water.
Galway city council states the bathing quality at the beach has returned to excellent status.
