Barna and Knocknacarra locals invited to promote Irish language

Galway Bay fm newsroom -People in Barna and Knocknacarra are being invited to join a local Irish Language Plan.

Coiste Pleanála Teanga Bhearna agus Chnoc na Cathrach are looking for new members.

PTBC, the language planning committee, is working on a number of initiatives and is establishing a new community organisation to implement the area's approved language plan.

Coiste facilitator, Seán Ó Leidhinn has emphased the importance of the Irish language to local communities.
