Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Ballinasloe teacher is to transfer to Galway Community College following a court challenge.
Earlier this month, Dympna Mannion launched a court challenge against her proposed transfer from St Killian's in Ballinasloe where she taught for 17 years.
The Headford Road resident brought the action against Galway Roscommon Education Training Board’s decision to redeploy her to Merlin College in the city.
According to the Irish Independent, the GRETB read a statement out in court this week in which it said it sincerely regretted the stress and difficulty its decision had caused.
It has now been mutually agreed that Ms Mannion will be transferred this September to Galway Community College in the city.
