Ballinasloe man secures leave to bring court action over records at Tuam mother and baby home

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Ballinasloe man has secured leave from the High Court to bring an action against Tusla in a bid to obtain information about his infant sister's time at the Tuam mother and baby home.

73 year old Peter Mulryan's sister Marian Bridget Mulryan is believed to be among 796 children recorded as having died at the home.

The Derrymullen man has brought proceedings against Tusla, the child and family agency, in order to get any available information that may exist about his sister Marian.

Tusla says it has provided all information it is aware of and has also offered to allow Mr Mulryan, of Derrymullen, Ballinasloe, to inspect materials in its possession concerning the Tuam home.
