Ballinasloe has highest level of internet searches for Sinn Fein in the country

Galway Bay fm newsroom - It's been revealed that Ballinasloe has the highest level of internet searches for Sinn Fein in the entire country.

Analysis by tech-firm Digital Funnel over a two-year period show searches in the East Galway area top the national tables by a significant margin.

The level of interest in Ballinasloe is almost 10 times higher than the area with the lowest interest in Sinn Fein - which is Castlebar in Co. Mayo.

Overall, Sinn Fein is the most searched for political party nationwide.

Galway/Roscommon Sinn Fein TD Clare Kerrane says the figures are positive - but they won't be taking them for granted.
