ATU Galway celebrates first year milestone as Galways second university

Galway Bay fm newsroom – This week marks the first anniversary of ATU Galway becoming the second university in the city.

The Atlantic Technological University was formed in April last year, bringing together GMIT, IT Sligo and Letterkenny IT.

Across the three institutes and eight campuses, ATU has a combined student population of over 20 thousand.

Speaking to Galway Talks, ATU President Dr. Orla Flynn said they’re delighted with their progress – but there’s more work to be done.
