Athlone to Galway Greenway project office to be located in Ballinasloe

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The new public project office for the Athlone to Galway greenway project will be located in the office space above Ballinasloe Library on Society Street.

Over €5 million has been provided to progress the project in 2019.

The railway underpass in Athlone has been completed.

Consultants were appointed last week for the progression of the River Bridge at Athlone Castle.

Senator Maura Hopkins says she anticipates the appointment of consultants for the delivery of the overall project in the coming weeks.

She says the Ballinasloe office will play a key role in ensuring consultation.
