Councillor calls for financial support for potentially dangerous ash dieback on trees

Local Councillor Geraldine Donohue is calling for financial assistance for local authorities, property and landowners who have identified ash die back on their trees.

She claims recent weather changes in particular have some trees at risk of structural failure - which could be dangerous, especially those located roadside.

Councillor Donohue is calling on the Dept of Agriculture and the Dept of Local Government to collaborate on providing support.
