Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Arts Council has announced funding of €3m for artists and organisations across Galway.
The allocations are part of a €130m investment across the country this year.
The largest allocation in Galway is to the Druid Theatre Company, which will receive €894 thousand.
Next is the iconic Galway Arts Festival, which has been allocated €640 thousand.
€305 thousand is to go to street arts organisation Macnas - while the Babaro children's festival will benefit to the tune of €294 thousand.
€160 thousand has been allocated to both the Town Hall Theatre and Galway Arts Centre.
While Galway Community Circus and Galway Film Fleadh will both receive €150 thousand.
Cló Iar-Chonnachta Teo has been awarded €85 thousand, while Áras Éanna has received €63 thousand.
Finally, €32 thousand will go to Galway Dance Project.
