Applegreen owner objects to Supermacs plan for plaza on Galway-Limerick motorway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The owner of Applegreen is opposing plans by Galway-based businessman, Pat McDonagh of Supermacs, to build a plaza along the Galway-Limerick motorway.

The owner of the Applegreen brand, Petrogas, has lodged an objection to plans by the Supermac's boss for the Obama-style plaza outside Ennis.

Petrogas says Pat McDonagh's proposal is premature as Transport Infrastructure Ireland has indicated its own intention to develop a motorway service area on the M18.

According to today's Irish Independent, some local businesses in Ennis have also grouped together to lodge an objection to Pat McDonagh's plan.
