An appeal has been taken to An Bord Pleanala over the refusal of a housing estate in Moycullen.
Solemia Limited plans to build 60 homes and a creche at a site adjacent to the existing Bun na Coille Estate.
County planners refused permission for the project twice - first in May, and more recently last month.
They attracted a considerable number of local objections on a wide range of grounds.
They include overdevelopment, flood risk, impact on wildlife, potential traffic issues, and suitability of the road network.
Rejecting the plans, county planners took issue with the density of the project, as well as proposed access through the unfinished Coill Ard and Bun Na Coille housing estates.
They also weren't satisfied by the links with the surrounding area and urban core of Moycullen to encourage safe walking and cycling.
An appeal's now been lodged with An Bord Pleanala, with a decision due in January.
