Galway Bay fm newsroom - Galway Alliance Against War plans to protest at the main gates of NUIG today in opposition to Enda Kenny's honorary Doctorate conferring.
The former Taoiseach is to receive the honour at a ceremony at NUIG at 5p.m today.
The honorary degree is in recognition of his significant contribution to public life.
The anti-war group says NUI is bestowing a Doctorate of Law on a man who willingly let the US military use Shannon Airport and Irish air space to transport troops and ammunition to war zones.

The alliance will protest outside NUIG at 4p.m today.
