Galway Bay fm newsroom - An anti-Trump rally is to take place at Eyre Square this evening on the eve of the US President's arrival at Shannon Airport.

It's being held by a number of groups from Galway including Galway Alliance Against War, Knocknacarra Palestine Network and Abortion Access Campaign West.
All participants are joining together as a united group called Galway Together Against Trump.

The group says they want to show their opposition to Trump's stance and political agenda and to stand in solidarity with people in the US and further afield who are resisting the effects of the Trump administration.
The public rally will take place this evening at 6:30 at Eyre Square.
