Anti-abortion sign removed from Portiuncula waiting room following complaints

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A sticker promoting an anti-abortion organisation has been removed from a hospital waiting room at Portiuncula Hospital following complaints.

The large sticker featured the website address for the Pro-Life Campaign showed a picture of a foetus with the words: “When I grow up I’ll play for Ireland. ”

According to the Irish Times, it had been placed behind glass facing the waiting area in the phlebotomy room at the the hospital.

The Saolta Hospitals Group says the sticker was displayed without the knowledge of hospital management and has now been removed.
