Annual Mám Éan pilgrimage to get underway in Connemara

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The annual Mám Éan pilgrimage will take place in Connemara this afternoon.

The event will start with Stations at the Cross at 3pm, followed by mass at 4pm.

The chief celebrant will be the Bishop of Killiloe, Bishop Fintán Ó Monachán.

Mám Éan is a small pilgrimage spot at a pass through the Maumturk mountains - which has a tiny chapel, mass alter, holy well and holy rock.
