Galway Bay fm newsroom - Almost one thousand homes in the Athenry area are without power this afternoon.
It's due to a major fault which occurred this morning and is affecting 891 households.
The ESB says it is working to repair the fault and hopes to have power restored to all affected premises by lunchtime.
