Almost 400 customers without power in the county

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Almost 400 premises in Galway are without power today as a result of storm damage.

ESB crews are working to restore power to thousands of customers across the country in the wake of Storm Eleanor.

It's hoped power will be restored to customers in the Portumna and Woodlawn areas within the next hour.

ESB crews hope to restore an electricity supply to the Ard area of Connemara by 2pm and Headford by 4p.m

There is no time outlined yet for power to be restored in the Cornamona area.

Meanwhile, power has been restored to the pumping station at Gort.

The ESB were on site until last night to restore power and the water treatment plant came back into full production at 2am.

The water levels in the reservoir have been restored overnight.
