Galway Bay fm newsroom - A fundraising campaign for the repair of Errislannan Church in Connemara has raised almost 20 thousand euro after the church was discovered vandalised two weeks ago.
Extensive damage was done to the church of Ireland building, including the bible being thrown through a window, the pulpit being split in two and the organ being smashed beyond repair.
Repairs to the church, which is used in July and August, will cost an estimated 70 thousand euro.
The online GoFundMe campaign has managed to raise over a quarter of its target in one week.
