Galway Bay fm newsroom - Nearly 120-thousand euro in funding has been granted for the purchase of two vehicles for health transport services in Galway.
Galway Hospice is receiving 50-thousand euro towards the purchase of an accesible vehicle for its patients.
Meanwhile, the Irish Wheelchair Association in Tuam has been awarded 68-thousand euro for an accesible vehicle for people with disabilities.
The funding has been granted by the Department of Rural and Community Development under the CLÁR programme.
Minister for Rural Affairs and Galway East TD Sean Canney says these services are vital for people in need in Galway.
