Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine is in Galway today. (Thursday 15/2)
Minister Michael Creed is currently visiting the Marine Institute in Oranmore.
He's meeting with the board and senior management, and will also tour the facility and address staff.
Following his visit to the Marine Institute, Minister Creed will travel to Furbo to meet with the CEO and management at Udaras na Gaeltachta.
Meanwhile, the Minister has named Forum Connemara as a shortlisted organisation under the European Innovation Partnerships Initiative.
19 projects across Ireland were chosen to progress to the next stage of the process.
The EIPI aims to support groups which develop new ways of approaching problems, opportunities or challenges, particularly environmental or climate related challenges, in their regions.
