African Women’s group to hold sustainable development action day in Ballybane

Galway Bay fm newsroom – The African women’s charity group known as AkiDwA is to hold an Action Day in Ballybane tomorrow.

The Action Day is the conclusion of Women Together for a Better World workshop that was held from mid April to mid May

The project is funded by Irish Aid at the Department of Foreign Affairs and the participants included Irish and migrant women.

It saw the group use Sustainable Development Goals as an education tool and to put together a manifesto

The action day aims to highlight both the issues raised during the workshop and the ensuing recommendations.

The event takes place at Ballybane Library from 11 tomorrow morning.
